This is me
Lucy started practicing yoga about 15 years ago and became a teacher in 2011, having trained in Greece with Sun Power Yoga, gaining a Level 3 Certificate in Teaching Yoga. She is also a qualified Danielle Collins Face Yoga Method teacher.
Groove Yoga is a blend of Hatha and Ashtanga yoga and was born from a desire to create fun yoga classes, to a blend of world and house music, to inspire people to stretch and look after their bodies in an environment that is fun, safe and non competitive.
Her main focus is on helping people get back into moving their body, feel confident about how their body feels and works for them, along with encouraging students to find fulfilment in their breath.
She has a very hands on approach to her classes, correcting and modifying her students so that they feel the benefits of going a little deeper into each posture but also encouraging students to explore their own limits and boundaries.
Lucy has lived in France for over 5 years and is a fluent French speaker, so classes, although mostly conducted in English, can be adapted and translated into French.
She has worked with stroke and cancer patients, suffers of fibromyalgia, depression, herniated disks, knee and hip problems, arthritis, asthma, sleep related issues, stress and so much more.
